We are surprised when we are in Chihikan Tower area, one of the most favorite tourist attraction in Tainan, how come? Because we found something interesting.. "Halal logo" in one of of the store named Han Jin Po Po just beside the tourist site.. Together with my friend, we are fascinated to try eating in this shop.

Han Jin Po Po
At first sight, we are felt extremely happy because in Tainan is very short option for halal certified food. Before we can eat, we need to wait for a while, all the table was full, yup.. because it is located in tourist area and the staff was very busy serving foods for consumers and also cleaned the table.

We take look around this shop, they was awarded by Tainan Government "English Friendly Shop" meaning their menu was written not only in Chinese but also in English. For you who suffer in speaking Chinese, this was a good news... With limited Chinese, we try pronounced picking some menu, surprisingly the staff can speak little English.. That's okay and already helpful.

Han Jin Po Po is specialized serving dessert mostly milk ice and shaved ice. When we are confused to decide which one we should eat, they offering us to try one of their most favorite dish called double sized ice cream with raspberry and strawberry sauce served with mango panna cotta. Not only one, we add another dish which is red bean with milky ice.

The first halal food was very-very tasteful, cold,sweet, soft and sour blended in one big bowl of ice. Sweetness from berries, coldness from milk ice and sourness from mango panna cotta and manggo juice. It's worth to spend NT$100 (2018).
Another dish we've tried was red bean with milky ice, it's smaller compare to the first one but they put a big scoop of milk ice and add red bean as topping. As you can guest, the taste was sweet, but not too sweet, even we are not purchase some drink, our throat still felt okay, hahaha...

To try one of the best "halal certified" ice cream in this shop, you can use public transportation from Tainan Government which travel to Chihikan Tower (Fort Provintia) such as line 77, 88 and 99, then you need to walk around 100 meters toward west, then at first intersection you can see Han Jin Po Po shop at the north side. Or just find in the map application : 韓金婆婆豆腐酪 and you can visit their social media page here.
